We left our mission for a few days to go to my father’s funeral in Idaho Falls, Idaho. Dad mowed his lawn (on his riding lawn mower) on Saturday, and then on Monday did not feel very good. My sister-in-law, Tracy, and my mother took dad to the hospital. After a lot of tests, they found out that he had some serious gall bladder problems. He was sent home under hospice care and passed away during his sleep five days later. He would have turned 96 years old on November 13, 2024. He lived a good long life and I know that Mom will miss him during the Holidays. Having the gospel knowledge that we have is a blessing. The funeral was very nice. I gave the Life Sketch and my sister, Anna, read a poem and my both of my brothers spoke. (Shane and Cole.) Brian dedicated the grave. It was a really good “family reunion.” We all enjoyed being together and I got to see nieces, nephews and cousins that I don’t always get to visit with. The best part was getting to see our grandbabies again-MJ and Mike and Chloe!
Sweet family photos!
