November 15, 2024: Aircraft Carrier Intrepid

All of the Senior Missionaries took a tour of the Aircraft Carrier Intrepid. (We also ate lunch aboard the ship.) The Intrepid Museum is an American military and maritime history museum in New York City. It is located at Pier 86 at 46th Street, along the Hudson River, in the Hell’s Kitchen neighborhood on the West Side of Manhattan. Brian and I walked there from our apartment. The Intrepid is a museum now and is mostly composed of exhibits and aircrafts. Also, the space shuttle, Enterprise, is on public display at the Intrepid Museum’s Space Shuttle Pavilion. Enterprise was the first space shuttle. We also toured The USS Growler—one of America’s first nuclear-missile submarines at the Intrepid Museum.
