Last Thursday, Sister Neff, Sister Yamada and our four young service missionaries covered the Employment Center while Brian and I went to two Job Fairs in the city. First we went to the Harlem Job Fair in the basement at St. Mary’s Episcopal Church. We walked around to the different tables and told the company representatives who we were and that we are looking to build relationships with employers in the area. We said that we want to connect quality candidates with local employers and asked what type of people they are looking for, what the hiring process it like, who people should contact etc. The second job fair was The City Career Fair at the Fairfield Inn-Manhattan Times Square South. It was a very successful day….we made a lot of connections and gathered a lot of valuable information.
