Sunday, we rode the subway over an hour to get from Manhattan to Rego Park 1st Ward in Queens. We walked .6 miles from the subway to the church building. The subway, sidewalks and streets were dirty in that area of Queens. The church building is small but cute. We saw one of our favorite young missionaries, Elder Park, there. It was nice to catch up with him and to meet the members in Rego Park 1st Ward. The Bishop asked us to come back on a Saturday (soon) to present an Employment Workshop. I saw one of my job seekers, Paulina, at church and she told me that she got the job that she had interviewed for last Thursday! Paulina gave me a big hug and thanked me for my help. Whew! Such good news!
Way to go, Paulina! And the wonderful missionaries who helped her! 🙂
