Saturday, Sister Rose Ann Neff and Brian and I took the Metro-North Railroad from Grand Central Terminal to Hartsdale (over an hour train ride) where President Josh Yamada, President of the NYNYC YSA Stake met us and drove us 1.5 miles to his home in Scarsdale to have dinner. Sister Susy Yamada, his wife, is a senior service missionary who serves in the Employment Center with us every Thursday. They have a lovely home and we enjoyed dinner with them! They have both helped us so much at the Employment Center-President Yamada is the agent Stake President in this area over Employment (He represents Employment for the Area) and when we arrived 11 months ago, he made introductions for us to all of the Stake Presidents in this area, who then introduced us to all of the Bishops in this area. Who then introduced us to many of the EQ Presidents and Relief Society Presidents in this area. Brian emails a monthly bulletin to all of the Stake/Ward Leadership and it has been very well received. We have rotated visiting 19 wards in this area and when we walk into a ward on Sunday, there are always a few people who say, “Oh, you are the Brandenburgs… Well, I know you….I get your bulletin every month.”
