July 3, 2025: The Butlers in Brooklyn

Last Thursday, after working at the Employment Office, Sister Neff and Brian and I were invited to dinner at Elder Mark and Sister Deanna Butler’s home in Brooklyn. (Brooklyn 3 Ward.) They have lived in Brooklyn for 4o years. That is where they raised their five children and they said that they love it here and will never leave. Elder Butler is a retired lawyer and they do not have a car. The Butlers are the Coordinators for the Young Service Missionaries in the New York New York City Mission. With their help, we are able to have four young service missionaries volunteer with us at the Employment Center. It was fun evening and it is nice to know that we have “friends” that live in New York City!
