To celebrate the 4th of July, we went on a picnic in Central Park with some of the other Senior Missionaries that are serving in New York City. The Bittons (MLS) from Pocatello, Idaho, the McWhorters (CES) from Goodyear, Arizona and Sister Neff (Employment Services) from Lockhaven, Pennsylvania. Then Brian and I took the subway and the Metro-North Railroad (MNR) Hudson Line to Yonkers (over 1 hour train ride.) The Tippetts and some of the other Senior Missionaries live in Yonkers in an apartment building that is right on the Hudson River. They invited us there to watch the fireworks over the water! It was worth the trip!
